We are very pleased to announce that the „Production manager” magazine has published expert opinions of the Chief Engineer of Implementations of Syneo, Karol Chęciński, in the article “Mobile control of the factory” (p. 104).
We are proud to publish it also on our blog:
Recently, I worked with the director of a large tool shop, which was fed up with the continuous extinguishing of fires on the production and piles of paper documents. It is shocking how old methods suddenly cease to operate under market conditions. To make matters worse, he fell into financial difficulties and it was necessary to immediately improve profitability – first of all, to increase efficiency and reduce the unit cost of production. It was not enough that the director had a revolution in the factory, but the specter of dismissal was still on him.
Fortunately, he turned to us for help in time. Within 6 weeks he implemented the OptiMES solution, he started saving several hours a day for himself and his subordinates. He launched automatic scheduling and settlement of preparation, production, logistics and other departments. He also quickly implemented a detailed settlement of order costs and workstation productivity by connecting machines and reporting panels (mobile and stationary tablets) to the system. He motivated employees by hanging on each TV hall with the visualization of job performance. He engaged department managers in innovative changes, because the mobile application made it possible to separate them from desks and papers. He replaced the boards that bend under the weight of the attached sheets with a large monitor, so that I would be able to control the execution of orders, neglect the threat and solve problems.
So he introduced a lot of organizational changes, the backbone of which is OpiMES. He dramatically improved profitability and saved the company from bankruptcy. It is interesting that it was only after a while that he realized that he had also solved problems with the security of confidential information. Now he has the time and data to deal with what is most important, ie the daily optimization of processes and the company’s profits.
We cordially invite you to read the current issue (No. 3 (9) June-July 2017)!
